Paul helped co-found Fubra straight after his A-levels in 2000 at the age of 18. He spent the first three years as a company Director earning just £50 a week and in that time learnt how to do a lot with very little.
A geek at heart, Paul learned to code on his BBC micro when he was 8 years old, and retains a deep curiosity in emerging technology trends. He is interested in continuous delivery and agile project management and loves using his technical skills to help solve business problems. In 2013, he helped teach his local scout group to code using Raspberry Pis and an Arduino Mars Rover.
Paul is an executive Director on the Fubra board, and a shareholder. When he’s not working, he likes to wakeboard in the summer and snowboard in the winter.
Paul McCormick was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University where he obtained 1st class Honours in PPE. He obtained an M. Phil and Doctorate from Oxford University.
He has been the External Assessor of the University of Portsmouth M.A. in Business Law. He has held a number of academic appointments in England and been the Special Adviser to the British Immigration Minister and a Special Adviser to the House of Commons.
Dr. McCormick was appointed Visiting Professor to the prestigious School of Labour Economics, Capital University, Beijing, P.R. China in September 2005.
