The problem...

When Fubra started to grow rapidly we had trouble keeping track of everything we needed to do to make the most of our success. Even after meetings, some small but important tasks got forgotten in the face of more immediate jobs. We needed a way to keep track of everything that needed doing that everyone could see and contribute to.

We built the Task Management System.

The TMS helps everything at Fubra HQ run smoothly behind the scenes. It's been an invaluable resource which has helped us to allocate tasks fairly and effectively amongst the staff, and keep on top of projects to make sure they're completed on time.

Like the Email Support System, the TMS has a collaborative aspect. Everyone has access to the hub of the TBS, which shows tasks that have been created by the project it relates to, or by the person it has been given to.

Other members of staff can then add notes to the task as work begins, to bring in new ideas or ammendments. This enables us to work as a group on a task, without endless calls, emails and hours spent crowding round one computer.

When issuing tasks you can specify how important the task it by giving a priority level, and how long it should take to complete.

This can be altered at any time, making it easy to rearrange tasks and workflow. There is also an option to show what you are currently working on, by clicking the 'Current it' button.

As tasks progress sometimes they need to be passed on to others to be completed - the EMS has an option to 'reasign' tasks to other members of staff.

When changes are made to a task (adding a note, changing priority, reassigning) the person who issues the task and the person who is working on the task are notified by email, which makes it easy to keep on top of changes.
