Very clear and simple far superior to other designs
Report CommentPosted by carol landman on 1st Aug at 8:56am
This is the most eye catching and memorable of the logos suggested
Report CommentPosted by Nick on 21st Jul at 2:56pm
This is far superior to the 'official' one who's designer/s should be strung up for the criminal act of graffiti.

You're too far up your own arsehole - and taking this all too seriously
You should get out more

Much better than the crappy one that is the official Olympic logo.
Report CommentPosted by Mandy on 19th Jun at 12:35pm
I hadn't seen the 'official' logo before - I think it's rubbish + has no meaning to it. This one is way more superior.
Report CommentPosted by Phil T. on 18th Jun at 7:05pm
It's not as great as everyone says it is but it's certainly better than the official logo.
And whoever posted this is an idiot. The Olympic Committee DID NOT design this, they merely chose it. Kino Design deserves all that credit.

Better than the official, by a long jump.

Of all the logos I have seen so far this is the one I would choose as a designer to develop. i.e. I would add London background themes to animate.

I think this logo is the best! The fomer logo is the nightmatter!
Report CommentPosted by Keith Atkins on 12th Jun at 10:38pm
For the LONDON olmpics this says it. It also includes the rings which are essential.
Report CommentPosted by David Glinos on 12th Jun at 9:43pm
Excellent logo. Does and says exactly what it says on the tin.
Well Done !!!

What a waste of money!Stick to this one.The new one is so meaningless, has no character or impact, just rubbish.
Report CommentPosted by clare hansen on 12th Jun at 11:38am
bold but elegant and more relevant to the status of the olympics
Report CommentPosted by sandra coleman on 12th Jun at 11:20am
I think this logo is much better, not to fussy and says what it is meant to say.
Report CommentPosted by Sue Card on 12th Jun at 11:13am
Much better than the official one - simple, eye catching and easily recognisable

My epileptic son was disturbed by the current horrible logo. CHANGE IT SEB !! This is still the best out there.
Report CommentPosted by Emma Coelho on 11th Jun at 11:21pm
This is bold, but simple and catches your eye, without the need for graffiti which looks scruffy & the flashing lights that were used -as an epileptic - is a no go for me!
Report CommentPosted by Diane Kidd on 11th Jun at 12:59pm
Distintive, elegant, and worthy of the prestige of hosting the Olympics.
Report CommentPosted by Moira Cassidy on 10th Jun at 5:13pm
I agree with the previous suggestions: use red, white & blue for the Thames and loop the Mortlake bend through the Zero - then it is different from the logo used to make the bid - it is upbeat, recogniseable, clear and looks like a logo not a bit of graffittii.
Report CommentPosted by Ian Davies on 10th Jun at 12:51pm
The terrible logo that has been selected should be dumped immediately and this one used instead as it is far more attractive and more meaningful for the Olympics
Report CommentPosted by Barbara on 10th Jun at 12:34pm
I would start by saying that pretty nearly anything would be better than the selected logo!!!
This one I think is attractive, meaningful, and quite prestigious.
Would that 'people power' could achieve the scrapping of the selected one in favour of this. ould we perhaps urge manufacturers of display items and memorabilia not to accept the chosen one and to boycott it?!!!

Great. I agree that the ribbons could take the shape of the Thames.
Report CommentPosted by Simon Cowell on 9th Jun at 3:19pm
I would change the ribbons to be red, white & blue and then make it into the shape of the Thames.
Apart from that very good.

Safe but very good.It does what it says on the tin!

A much improved design for the 2012 olympics.
Report CommentPosted by Catherine on 9th Jun at 10:04am
Excellent - this has to be the best one! Definitely worth £400,000 of anyone's money!!!
Report CommentPosted by J Edwards on 9th Jun at 6:19am
Its a crime that this logo wasnt used as the official one
Report CommentPosted by Amanda Hawthorne on 8th Jun at 10:32pm

More style and in keeping with a more profesioal image
Report CommentPosted by cg on 8th Jun at 10:06pm
Bold clear and to the point. What else do you need from a logo? The flowing banner also lends itself to animated graphics.

the swiftest glance, and you know what it is and where it is

Clear concise does it all and pleasing to the eye
Report CommentPosted by Barbara Paxman on 8th Jun at 12:24pm
Emphasis should be on the five circles (background) with London 2012 through the middle.
Report CommentPosted by Julie on 8th Jun at 10:51am
Sorry, but I think it's boring. Very safe and very 1990's
Report CommentPosted by Paul on 8th Jun at 2:00am
elegant in style, eye catching and clear. Keeps the logo in line with the theme of what the olympics should stand for.
Report CommentPosted by Janis on 7th Jun at 10:30pm
Clear, professional and eye catching for the right reasons!
Report CommentPosted by Gill on 7th Jun at 10:24pm
This looks classy and it's instantly recognisable. Why on earth wasn't this one chosen?
Report CommentPosted by Ian on 7th Jun at 8:47pm
Simple, easy on the eye and does the job - what more do you need? The cartoon by "mac" on page 17 of today's Daily Mail says a lot about how the "approved" logo came about!!
Report CommentPosted by Si on 7th Jun at 8:36pm
I must admit, I thought this was the one they would have stuck with. You can actually read this one for a start! I like this one.
Report CommentPosted by Isabella Cole on 7th Jun at 7:29pm
What can I say, I like more traditional design!
Report CommentPosted by Michelle Devey-Carvill on 7th Jun at 7:11pm
Smooth and easy on the eye - far superior!
Report CommentPosted by Dominic Whiteman on 7th Jun at 4:59pm
It looks like it has been broken but then maybe its not finnished just like the Olympic area more than likly won't be!!
Why its being held in London and not Manchester which is more central to the country beats me.
