Leonardo da Vinci Grant Opportunities

As well as our available full time positions, we are also looking for enthusiastic people from all over Europe who are passionate about their work and about taking steps in their lives now that will enable them to learn and progress in their careers for the future. We have experience working with the Leanardo da Vinci program which offers grants to foreign nationals to come over and work for a company in England. The program offers financial support and allows those who have been to university and achieved a degree in their resident country to experience work and life abroad.

What do I need to qualify for the grant?

Different countries implement the guidelines and requirements for the Leonardo da Vinci grant differently. Ultimately the requirements for your grant will need to be discussed with the authority providing the grant in your country, but there are a few general requirements which apply to grant applicants from most EU countries.

For EU grant applicants:

  • You must have attended university in your country of residence and have completed your chosen degree in a university there.
  • You must have intermediate English skills to be able to communicate with us and your colleagues
  • This must be the first time that you are entering into the Leonardo da Vinci grant
  • You must be a resident in an EU country that participates in the Leonardo da Vinci program
  • You must find specific information about the requirements of the Leonardo da Vinci grant in your country and apply yourself

Current Internships

We are looking for interns to join our team and work with us in the above areas to learn, gain work experience, show off their skills, and be part of a great company with the possibility of staying with us long term! PHP Developer

We are looking for developers to contribute to many of the projects and websites that we work on here at Fubra headquarters.

Our other developers will mentor you throughout the your time with us and will be on hand to make sure that you understand what is required and help you with any queries you may have. We are interested in candidates from all over the Spain and The Netherlands who are able to take part in the Leonardo da Vinci scheme.

Required Development Skills

We are looking for someone who has experience with the following areas:

WordPress
Zend Framework
Curl and Data Mining
Regular Expressions

If you aren’t familiar with or an expert in all these areas, then don’t worry. It is more important that you are willing to learn, enthusiastic, and always strive to do a great job.

Junior Linux System Administrators

We are looking for someone to join our team who will play a key role in the development and support of our 100% Linux hosting infrastructure in a very fast paced, high traffic web environment.

You will be working alongside our other Linux gurus and the position will involve a range of “systems” activities. These will cover things such as installation, configuration, administration and through to programming.

Ideally you should have experience and ability across the areas:

  • Strong scripting skills in BASH
  • LDAP and Cobbler
  • PXE Installations
  • VLANS
  • MySQL Replication
  • Apache and Load Balancing

Extra Qualities

Aside from technical skills we are looking for someone who:

  • Is bright, enthusiastic and highly motivated to succeed
  • Gets excited about Linux and knows about Open Source
  • Takes pride in and cares about the quality of their code
  • Can keep trying when problems get hard and doesn’t give up easily
  • Can compile the Linux kernel and has a preferred filesystem
  • Can conceptualise large, distributed computer clusters

Web Designers

We need someone who has a strong passion for design, an inquisitive mind. You will be the sort of designer who is interested in the user experience and won’t be able to rest until their website has been optimised for exceptional usability along with beautiful design.

If this sounds like you then we would love to see some of your designs!

You should have the following skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience with designing usable and innovative webpages
  • xHTML and CSS ability
  • An eagerness to learn and improve upon your existing skills and knowledge
  • A great eye for detail
  • A friendly manner and ability to get on with other people well
  • Photoshop will be your best friend!
  • Takes a scientific approach to usability and likes to experiment to achieve the best results
