Progress of Renegade Games Investment

Posted Friday 4th September 2009 by Pete

After about 7 months of starting the joint venture with Fubra, it is going very well. It was a great advantage working in their office initially, and being able to talk to the directors, as they were able to help me in the hardest part of starting a business, the very beginning. They helped me avoid many mistakes, and also suggested a lot of things that I could do.

The experience they have definitely shows. After almost 10 years of being an “internet business”, Fubra have a very good sense of how to build good websites, and make money on the internet. And they are not afraid to share this information with their investments.

10 reasons to use Clear Books

Posted Tuesday 28th July 2009 by paul

For the last 12 months, we’ve been busy working on an online accounting system called Clear Books. At the beginning of July we officially launched the system and removed it’s beta status. In this post I’m going to highlight 10 reasons why you should be using it:

Invoicing

  • PDF Invoice generation, with “2 click” e-mailing to customers. Clear Books makes it easy to create invoices, automatically calculating VAT and any discounts you want to apply. You can then send them to clients with the built in e-mail tool (or print them and send via snail mail).

  • Auto-reminder e-mails for unpaid invoices. The system can be set up to send out regular e-mails to remind clients of any unpaid invoices that are outstanding, which encourages them to pay more promptly.
  • Online Client Statements. Client’s can be sent a link to a secure area where they can see a realtime statement of their paid and unpaid invoices. They can also save or print any of their past invoices. Read the rest of this entry »

Driving down airport parking costs

Posted Monday 27th July 2009 by Jen

We have worked hard at Fubra to produce lots of exciting, informative and great looking websites and our main aim is to make sure that we give our visitors the information they need using an easy to read and navigate design.

One of the first websites we did this on was our dedicated Airport Parking Shop service where visitors who are planning to travel to and from the UK’s airports can search around the top airport parking brokers and ensure they get the best deal on their airport parking.

Airport Parking Shop compares deals for parking at the major UK airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted and Luton plus most of the smaller ones too. Covering 24 locations and over 100 airport car parks across the UK! We even cover parking at Dover ferry port. Passengers can take advantage of saving an average of 48% or £67.87 when comparing with all 6 of the biggest airport parking brokers in the UK airport car parks. Read the rest of this entry »

Bail out Brown

Posted Friday 23rd January 2009 by paul

Today, we’re officially in a recession. This was caused by the nation getting in to too much debt and the government’s solution to this problem is to get us in even more debt.

The government says that the cost of doing nothing is worse than than the cost of the bailouts to the banking industry, yet they are reluctant to make those costs transparent. We think the public have a right to know the truth about the sheer size and extent of these bail outs, and that there should be a debate on the merit of pursuing them.

Economics is often referred to as the dismal science, so we’ve tried to make it a bit more entertaining with our new Bail Out Brown site. The site aims to keep track of the nature and scale of the government’s bail outs, whilst having a bit of fun along the way!
