Surrey Uni Recruitment Fair
I’m very happy to announce that Fubra will be attending the University of Surrey Summer Recruitment Fair on the 24th May 2011. This event 
provides employers with the opportunity to speak to students in all stages of their studies about potential employment opportunities when they leave Univeristy.
Fubra is on the hunt for content writers, marketing experts, project managers and in particular developers, to help us continue to grow and invest in the future. The only requirements are that they are highly motivated, ready for a challenge, and well suited to our friendly, supportive working environment.
You can find the Fubra stand in the Austin Pearce Building on the University of Surrey campus and we will be available to chat from 2pm to 5.30pm. For the more technically minded we’ll have developer quizes ready for you to rate your skills. Alternatively come and chat to our friendly marketing and content team about the great opportunities in a non-technical role.
Fubra offers Internships & Placements with Leonardo da Vinci grants
Recently we have been looking into making more internship placements available going through the Leonardo da Vinci programme, which is a vocational training programme offering grants to European residents looking to gain experience working for a company in a foreign country. The grants have been put in place by the European Commission for Education and Training in partnership with the associated governing body in each European country offering the grant program. The grants and work placements offered are part of the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme aiming to equip people with skills for life and encourage multi cultural development of Europe’s education and training sector.
Calling all aspiring Ad Sales Executives…
Still feeling triumphant after our first Fubra Bootcamp and with our successful candidates now working away at creating a big buzz around Fubra and pushing the great sites that we have, we are now ready to embark on our second Bootcamp!
This time around we are looking for enthusiastic and go getting sales executives to sell the advertising space that we have on our network of sites. Beginning with the travel network we have made a start on selling the advertising and have a proven process in place which has helped us achieve excellent results so far. What’s Fubra Bootcamp?
Fubra Bootcamp is a new way of hiring employees that we came up with and decided to try out to find out if we could achieve our hiring goals such as:
- Hire the best employees
- Hire people who want to stay with the company for the strong career prospects and don’t just want any old job
- Find hard working, smart, creative and individual people who are eager to learn new skills and be part of our growing company
- Increase employee retention through better assessment strategies
- Create a buzz around wanting to work at Fubra
Over the last month or so we have been busy here holding our first Fubra Bootcamp in which 5 potential employees were put through their paces competing for 3 spaces in our growing team as Online Marketing Assistants. Read the rest of this entry »
