Just one other thing too sorry...

Setting the nameservers is a bit strange here compared to anywhere else I've had to do this. Usually I'm just asked to enter the nameserver addresses and that's that (unless setting glue). Fubra appears to ask for one nameserver then moves onto the next page to type the others in but asks for an IP address for each one? *confusing* :P at least for me anyway.

Thanks very much. Mike.

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm comparing with basically any other DNS provider I've used which would include Namecheap's free DNS, DNSMadeEasy.com and PointHQ.com. I think Point's service is the best in terms of the simplicity and interface, they even have a little SPF generator built in.

I'll try to keep this short and simple for you :) I'd like to be able to do the following:

- View and edit all entries together, regardless of the type (A, CNAME etc).

- Set up e-mail forwarding and web forwarding without necessarily having the DNS entries in place yet (on transfers coming in etc). This little check appears to be really slow at times too which can be frustrating as I keep going back to check if the forwarding can be setup yet whilst domains are transferring in and the nameservers changing. Ideally I'd like to just set up the forwarding, put the DNS entries in place and in time as the nameservers switch over, this forwarding should begin working.

- Setup web forwarding on different entries. For example, forwarding just for somehost.domain.com. As it stands, this doesn't appear to be possible because 1) a check is made before forwarding can be enabled and 2) only one forwarding address can be setup - really it would be nice to set up individual and separate forwarders.

I think that's it really - improve forwarding and give a better overview of all entries without having to switch between different types.

I certainly don't expect you guys to jump up and bring in whatever I ask for. I'm happy with Livetodot as a domain provider and would prefer to keep my DNS hosting in the same place for the sake of simplicity. If you at least consider my thoughts for the future, I would appreciate that.

On another note, I'd happily pay a service fee of some kind for a slightly more robust DNS solution built into Livetodot :)

Cheers. Thanks for your time.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for asking we are currently working on launching our new hosting service CatN.com and we do expect to change DNS to be more seamlessly integrated with CatN.com for customers of both services once this is done.

Can I ask what specifically you are comparing the current DNS to and if you can give us more specifics on how you would like to see it improved.

Hey, are there any new developments happening with Livetodot? I quite like the service, the simplicity, the good pricing and the fact that I'm not paying in USD as with my previous provider. As such I'm moving domainsover as I can but I do have to say I'm not so impressed with the DNS system. I appreciate that this is an additional service which is great to come free with registrations but I do find it a bit annoying to work with as well as being slow. So, just wondering if anything is in the roadmap really :)

Cheers, apologies for any typos (posting this from my tablet). Mike
